Canadian Mineralogist Journal

One of the principal functions of the Mineralogical Association of Canada is the publication of the scientific journal, The Canadian Mineralogist, six times per year. This Journal provides a forum for scientists, both national and international, to publish in English or French, the results of their research in the fields of mineralogy, crystallography, petrology, geochemistry and mineral deposits. In 1985 the Journal received the highest "impact factor" (based on citations, readership and subscriptions) amongst all Canadian scientific journals, becoming the first Canadian journal ever to achieve an "impact factor" as high as 2.0. The Journal began publication in 1921 under the name Contributions to Canadian Mineralogy and adopted the present title in 1957. To cover the wide range of topics, the editor now relies on fifteen associate editors, who see to it that each paper is properly refereed.

THE CANADIAN MINERALOGIST is published bimonthly.
